Jiannan Yang (Cambridge) received his PhD in Sound and Vibration from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research Centre (ISVR) at University of Southampton in 2012. After his PhD, he has worked in the Research and Development Department of Hitachi in both Japan and the UK. At Hitachi, Jiannan worked on various rolling stock projects for noise and vibration control, including the high speed Intercity Express Trains (IET) that went into passenger service on Oct 2017 in England. Jiannan has joined the DigiTwin project since Oct 2018 at University of Cambridge and he is looking at improved engineering design for digital twin applications
