James Ellis earned his BEng in Aerospace Engineering in June 2020 from Swansea University, with his dissertation focussing on the effects of non-smooth nonlinearities on an aerofoil.
In July 2020, he starting his PhD at Swansea University with the aim of developing active control methods for a flexible wing in the presence of structural nonlinearity and/or gusts in order to extend the flutter speed and reduce loads due to gust.
