Alessandra Vizzaccaro is a Research Associate in Dynamics and Control at the University of Bristol. Her current research focuses on control-based continuation for experimental testing of nonlinear structures and on uncertainty quantification methods for hybrid modelling.
She graduated in Mechanical Engineering from “La Sapienza, Universitá di Roma” and expects to receive her PhD in Dynamics from Imperial College London in 2021.
Her PhD research focuses on numerical methods for nonlinear dynamics of large-scale models with application to blade-casing interaction in aircraft engines. Her areas of expertise are the non-intrusive reduced order modelling of geometrically nonlinear structures and the dynamics of structures subjected to frictional contact forces.
